This will wipe all data and install the Official DE03 with SDX custom recovery

Two Methods for an Installer
1. Use the Original Sprint Update Tool from CL14

Brief Directions
Put the SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1-joeykrim-recovery-2.1.3.tar OR SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1-forcsytos-recovery-3.0.8.tar into the binary folder (default directory - C:\Program Files\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary and make sure no other files in the Binary folder!) of the Sprint Update Tool. Run the Sprint Update Tool which will flash the phone. For more detail on the Sprint Update Tool, please refer to this guide and post questions there: How-To: Using the Sprint Update Utility for Flashing
This will give you full Android 2.1 DE03 and an SDX custom recovery of your choice!

Customizing

Technical Details on the Installer
The Andriod 2.1 DE03 file was released bundled with a "newer" Sprint Update Tool. The "newer" Sprint Update Tool has an md5sum check which guarantees the file has not been altered and also prevents the tool from flashing any other files.
Two ways to bypass this as method at the top. Use the previous Sprint Update Tool which does the exact same thing w/o the md5sum check or patch the "newer" Sprint Update Tool with a .dll from the older Sprint Update Tool, essentially removing the md5sum check from the "newer" Sprint Update Tool.

As always, the recovery will give you root access from within the recovery mode.  If you want full root access in Android mode, you will need to apply the v7 root fix.

OK so it is still the stock build then. Thanks for the info on the recovery' That makes sense, The workings of this thing become more apparent the more I'm on here.

In short Android and Recovery are 2 different OS.

i just flashed this and it's coming up as dd03 not de03, i was at dd16 before so i know something is up

I performed the flash using the original swupdate tool and had no issues, shows DE01 all the way around...

try this....i was getting the same error until i did this...i guess samsung changed something to prevent people from loading whatever on their phones

A FULL DE03 installation can't be done with an update.zip, because certain parts of the phone can't currently be updated from Recovery and MUST be updated through Download mode using the Sprint Update Tool.  We'd be able to get most of it into an update.zip, but it wouldn't be the entire update as provided by Sprint.

Just to clarify -- you can flash the new DE03 .tar on the OLD CL14 Update utility, right?
